Hello! My name is Jaana. I specialize in capturing fairy-tale portraits, but I also like to photograph pets, nature, landscape, products and night sky. Fantasy portraits aligns perfectly with my soul. I combine my full creative potential with photography to capture you as the main character of your life. I’m fascinated by theatrical- and film makeup. In addition to photography I’ve a background in special effect makeup. I’ve studied SFX makeup in Helsinki, Finland. If requested I can also do stylistics in the form of simple hairstyles, make-up and face-paintings. Your amazing dreams, my magical realization!

I was born in Pärnu, the summer capital of Estonia. I grew up surrounded by fragrant pine trees, golden sand dunes and shimmering sea. As an art lover, I knew from an early age that I wanted a career in the creative industry. Thanks to my dad who was a big photography enthusiast photography was also a big part of my childhood. He had a keen interest in photography and he used to turn our kitchen with the help of our mother, to a light-proof darkroom to process film and to make prints. My sister and I had the opportunity to observe the process, which was exciting and fun.

I had a lot of simple compact cameras early on to capture the beauty of life. It was especially exciting to capture dress up games. Over the years it grew into stylized fantasy photography. In 2018 I started to shoot with DSLR, which at one point became mirrorless camera. I’ve attended several different photography courses and completed  “Basic training in photography ” and  “Individual study of photography ” at Tartu Rahvaülikool.

My inspiration comes from nature, dreams, films and books. I’m interested in mystical and it is reflected in my art. I’m a romantic soul and an explorer at heart. I keep a diary and I like to write poems. My passion is frills, ruffles, tulle skirts, pirate- embroidered collar shirts, floor-length fairy-tale dresses. I absolutely adore cats and rats and I am a Star Trek, anime,Tim Burton, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fan. I also enjoy reading and traveling. I love ocean, thunderstorms, double rainbows, full moon, cemeteries buried in fog, ruins, castles, water parks, sunrises, I like to swim, travel, hike in nature, promote an active lifestyle, sleeping under the starry skies, flowers, early morning hours, bonfires, good times with friends and seeing my loved ones healthy and happy.
